The short version

Soled.ai exists to preserve the most personal thing there is: who you are. We collect what you choose to share, we use it only to build and run your clone, we never sell it, and we delete it when you ask us to. The rest of this page spells that out in detail.

What we collect

  • Account information: your email address and display name.
  • Interview content: your written and spoken answers, and the audio or video recordings you choose to make.
  • Derived content: transcripts of your recordings, the individual memories we distill from your answers, numerical representations (embeddings) that let your clone find relevant memories, and the persona documents you review and approve.
  • Conversations: messages between you (or people you invite) and your clone, and the corrections you make.
  • Sharing records: who you invite, their email address and relationship to you, and a consent log of significant actions such as invitations, revocations, and voice training.
  • Billing: your subscription status and plan. Payment details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
  • Technical basics: the logs any web service generates, such as IP addresses and request timestamps, used for security and debugging.

Your voice is special

Voice recordings are intimate data, and a cloned voice even more so. We treat both accordingly:

  • We only train a voice model when you explicitly press the button to train one. Recording an interview answer does not by itself create a voice clone.
  • Your voice model is used for exactly one thing: letting your clone speak your replies to you and the people you invite.
  • You can ask us to delete your voice model and the recordings behind it at any time.

How we use your information

  • To build and run your clone: extracting memories, synthesizing your persona, and answering in conversation.
  • To let the people you invite talk with your clone, within the limits you set.
  • To send you the emails the service needs: sign-in links, and invitation emails you ask us to send.
  • To bill you if you subscribe to a paid plan.
  • To keep the service secure and fix problems.

We do not sell your information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we never use your content to create another customer's clone.

Who processes your data for us

We build on a small set of service providers. Each receives only what it needs to do its job for you:

  • Supabase hosts our database and stores your recordings.
  • Anthropic (Claude) powers the interviews, memory extraction, persona synthesis, and your clone's conversation.
  • Voyage AI turns memories into embeddings so your clone can recall them.
  • Deepgram transcribes your spoken answers into text.
  • ElevenLabs trains and runs your voice model, from recordings you have chosen to train on.
  • Resend delivers our emails.
  • Stripe processes payments.
  • Vercel hosts the application.

Providers processing your interview content for us are contractually restricted to the purposes described on this page. Some providers separately process payment, account, security, or service-usage information for purposes described in their own privacy notices. Where a provider offers a setting that would let it use content to improve its own models, we have turned it off.

Video avatars exist only as a small invited pilot and are off by default. Recording interview video never creates an avatar by itself. Before any recording or photo is used to create one, we name the provider (Tavus; during the pilot we are also testing Anam side by side), explain in the Video Avatar Notice what it receives and how long it keeps it, and ask for your separate authorization per provider.

Who can see your clone

Only you, and the people you explicitly invite. Making a memory private stops its use in new participant conversations: it is removed from retrieval, scrubbed from the persona your clone embodies, and earlier conversation context is no longer used to generate replies. This cannot retract information someone already received. You can revoke a participant's access at any time. As the clone owner, you can see the conversations invited participants have with your clone; we tell them that before they chat. There is no public directory of clones.

Retention and deletion

The default is simple: we keep your content for as long as your account exists, because preserving it is the point of the service. Different categories then follow different rules:

  • Original recordings, transcripts, memories, embeddings, persona documents, and conversations: kept while your account exists; deleted when you delete your account or the content, after which provider copies are deleted on each provider's published schedule.
  • Voice models: a stricter schedule of their own. Your synthetic voice is destroyed when it is no longer needed to speak your replies, and no later than three years after your last interaction with Soled.ai, whichever comes first. The Voice Data Notice has the full schedule.
  • Backups: deleted content ages out of our providers' routine backups on their published cycles rather than instantly.
  • Consent records: we keep the minimal record of the authorizations you gave, so we can prove they existed and were honored.
  • Billing records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access inside the database is controlled row by row. Your content is never publicly accessible. Access by authorized personnel and service providers is restricted to operating, securing, and supporting the service and meeting legal obligations, and we do not routinely review the substance of your interviews or conversations. No system is perfectly secure, but we design as if your grandchildren will hold us to it.

Your rights

Wherever you live, we extend the same rights: you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to support@soled.ai and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.

Children

Soled.ai is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will notify you by email or in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always tells you when it was last revised.
