Terms of Service

Last updated: October 23, 2026

Who we are and what these terms cover

Soled.ai is a service operated by Soled.ai Inc ("Soled.ai", "we", "us"). It lets you preserve your stories, values, and way of thinking through guided interviews, and creates an AI conversational likeness of you (a "clone") that you can talk with, refine, and share with people you choose.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Eligibility and your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use Soled.ai.
  • You sign in with a link sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure, since anyone who controls it can access your Soled.ai account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information. During this release, every clone is created by the person it preserves: you may only build a clone of yourself.

Your content stays yours

Everything you contribute is yours: your interview answers, audio and video recordings, the memories we distill from them, your persona documents, and your conversations. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the service for you and the people you invite. We do not use your content to advertise, and we do not sell it.

If you delete your account, we delete your content as described in our Privacy Policy.

Voice cloning and consent

  • You may only train a voice model on recordings of your own voice, after confirming the voice consent statement and reviewing the Voice Data Notice shown before training.
  • You may not use the service to imitate a real person without their consent, living or deceased, or to deceive anyone about who or what they are talking to.
  • Clones always disclose that they are AI. You may not attempt to remove or defeat that disclosure.

What clones are, and what they are not

A clone is an AI model conditioned on what you have shared. It is a reflection, not a person. It can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, and it does not speak with legal authority on behalf of you or your estate. Nothing a clone says is professional advice of any kind, including medical, legal, or financial advice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

  • Break the law, or encourage anyone else to.
  • Harass, threaten, or defame anyone.
  • Create a likeness of a person without their consent.
  • Upload content you do not have the right to share.
  • Probe, overload, or interfere with the service's security or operation.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Where reasonable, we will warn you first.

Sharing your clone

You control who can talk with your clone. Invitations are personal to the person you invite, and you can revoke access at any time. People you invite can see only what you have chosen to share with them. They must also follow these terms.

Legacy instructions, death, and incapacity

Your clone page lets you record legacy instructions while living: who your successor is, whether your clone stays available to the people you invited, is frozen, or is deleted, and whether your cloned voice may keep speaking. We follow your documented instructions. A family relationship alone does not give anyone control of your clone or your content.

  • If you die with instructions on file, your designated successor can contact support@soled.ai; after reasonable verification (such as a death certificate and identity documentation), we carry out what you chose, and the successor can administer billing, export, and access within those instructions.
  • Incapacity is different from death: while you are living, authority over your account follows your documented instructions and applicable law, such as a valid power of attorney, not estate authority.
  • If no instructions are on file, we freeze the clone (no new conversations; content preserved except where a legal deadline, such as biometric destruction, requires otherwise) until someone with lawful authority, such as an executor with documentation, directs us.
  • Disputes among family members do not change this: your documented instructions, then lawful authority, control, subject to applicable law and valid court orders.
  • Biometric retention rules still apply after death; the Voice Data Notice describes when a voice model must be destroyed regardless of these instructions.

Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly per clone through Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card number.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.
  • Each plan includes a monthly usage allowance, shown on your clone page: the Core plan includes 400 clone messages per month, and the Premium plan includes 1,200 clone messages and 120 voice minutes per month. Recording interviews is not metered.
  • Messages from everyone you invite count toward the same allowance, and a spoken reply uses both a message and voice minutes. Voice minutes are measured by the amount of speech generated, and fractions of a minute count.
  • Extra usage beyond your allowance is off by default. If you turn it on from the clone page, additional use bills on your next invoice at $0.10 per additional message and $0.50 per additional voice minute, up to the monthly spending limit you choose. When extra usage is off, or your limit is reached, conversation and voice pause until your plan renews.
  • You can cancel any time from the Manage billing page. Cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. Extra-usage charges you authorized before your paid period ends may appear on a final invoice.
  • Prices and allowances may change. We will email you between 14 and 30 days before a change affects your renewal. Where your state requires more (for example, New York), a price increase takes effect only with your advance consent, or with at least 14 days after the first charge at the new price to cancel and receive a prorated refund.
  • Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy.

Beta service

Soled.ai is in active development. Features may change, be added, or be removed, and interruptions can happen. We work hard to protect what you preserve with us, and we also encourage you to keep your own copies of irreplaceable recordings during the beta.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Soled.ai Inc will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of one hundred US dollars or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence where applicable law forbids limiting it, and nothing in these terms takes away refunds or other remedies the law requires us to provide. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Termination

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially violate these terms. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your content first.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms. For changes that add a new charge or a new use of your voice or other biometric data, we will ask for your express agreement rather than relying on continued use.

Governing law

Delaware law governs these terms, without regard to conflict of law principles, except that this choice does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections of the place where you live. Subject to any nonwaivable right you have to bring a claim elsewhere, disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
